THE PROBLEM: When attempting to add the TAS Indicators to the chart, the eSignal platform generates a DLL error message.
THE CAUSE: Following should be checked:
- Did not logged in to the TAS Launch Pad and authenticate to access the indicators
- Did not install the MS Visual C++ Redistributable during installation of the TAS Indicators.
- First installed/updated eSignal platform version.
- Installed the TAS Indicators on eSignal on a virtual-environment Windows OS on a MAC computer. (NOTE: We do not support any Windows running in a virtual-environment from a MAC Computer)
THE CURE: Follow the solution instructions provided below according to the No. associated from 'The Cause' above to resolved the problem.
Quick Troubleshooting Guide
Solution 1 - TAS Launch Pad not Running
Follow the link article below on how to start/check if the TAS Launch Pad is running.
Solution 2 - Microsoft Visual C++ was not Installed
STEP 1: Download the Visual C++ Redistributable installer
- Visit and download the Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (required version) installer at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685
- It would be a good option to download both version 32-bit and 64-bit of Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Run the installer
STEP 2: Finish Installation
- Once the installation is done. Click Finish and then head back to your platform. You may again attempt to add TAS Indicators to your eSignal Chart.
Solution 3 - Reinstall eSignal Platform
STEP 1: Download the eSignal installer
- Visit and download the eSignal installer from their site here https://www.esignal.com/support/download
- Most are using the 64-bit version of eSignal so download that version
STEP 2: Finish Installation
- After download, run the installer and it will overwrite the existing eSignal files that should fix the error you are getting. When done, start up eSignal and then verify if the error has been fix by adding again the TAS Indicators in the chart. If no errors pop-up, the error is then fixed.
