THE PROBLEM: When attempting to start the TAS Profile Scanner, the application does not launch.
THE CAUSE: Configuration "user.config" file in the C:\Users\<your computer name>\AppData\Local\Scanner folder was corrupted.
THE CURE: Follow the step-by-step instructions provided below to enable the login window for the TAS Profile Scanner.
STEP 1: Opening the AppData\Local\ folder
Access this program folder location C:\Users\PC_Name\AppData\Local\.
There are 3 Possible Options:
- By using windows explorer, just search that folder location
- Click Start, go to Run, type in %localappdata%, and press Enter.
- Press Win+R, type in %localappdata%, and press Enter.
STEP 2: Deleting the "Scanner" folder
Locate the "Scanner" folder and delete it. This will recreate the folder when you run the Scanner again.
- Start your TAS Profile Scanner and this will now show the login window. You may now be able to type in your username and password and hit Login and be able to use the software.
