THE PROBLEM: When attempting to run The Edge, the application crash after logging in.
THE CAUSE: Secure WebRoot software is blocking the application from running.
THE CURE: Follow the step-by-step instructions provided below to enable The Edge to run without disabling Secure WebRoot.
STEP 1: Opening Secure WebRoot
- Open Secure WebRoot by right-clicking on the Webroot icon in your Tray bar, you can view the system tray menu. (This menu displays different selections, depending on the SecureAnywhere edition you purchased.)
STEP 2: Changing Settings of Secure WebRoot
- Click Advance Settings
- Go to Firewall/Web Shield.
- Uncheck the "Enable Web Filtering Driver" then save.
- Type in the CAPTCHA and click Continue.
STEP 3: Finished setup
A confirmation prompt will appear to know that you have updated the configuration successfully. Click Ok then close Secure WebRoot.
Start The Edge and you may notice it won't crash after you logged in.
